There is a growing trend towards online anything. The Internet is seen as modern, exciting and preferable to traditional methods of learning by many pupils and adults alike.
Online Learning enables learning to take place at any time of day or night and if you have a lap top - anywhere. It can be especially beneficial to pupils who are being educated at home, those who are school refusers, and those pupils who are unable to attend school through illness.
The interactive capabilities of the Internet are likely to prove more attractive than traditional methods of learning to those who are disaffected or those who display challenging behaviour.
