Video Conferencing
Video Conferencing allows images and sound to be transmitted to one or more separate locations.
This means that a teacher is able to offer 'face to face' tuition to pupils across the Internet or a local network as both teacher and pupils are able to see and hear each other.

Benefits

Pupils who are not able to attend school, e.g. school refusers or those who are sick, can remain in contact with a teacher and receive 'face to face' tuition.

Video conferencing can be a useful motivational tool for pupils who are disaffected with traditional methods of learning.

Pupils who are not able to attend school can form relationships with other pupils.
Drawbacks

All participants need access to suitably equipped computers.

At times when the Internet is busy, video and audio reception may become distorted.
